Life can get in the way at times, but LIVE LIFE! - Happy Holidays

First, let me apologize for the long time between posts. I was saying in an earlier post, about how easy it is to get distracted from your business, especially when you are working a job, taking care of a family, etc. Just to drive the point home, I had some things come up over the last month that kept me away. If anything, it also reminded me why I want to build this business and obtain some freedom in my life to be able to do things for my family and friends and time to devote to some volunteer work I would love to do more of. Looking at my grand daughter, my children and my parents, I know I don't want to always have to make a decision between being there when they need me and my JOB...its not a decision that most of us want to make.

I see the way the current economy is affecting the people around me and Iwant to help in whatever small ways I can. You never know what just a simple smile, or words of encouragement can mean to others. The stress of day to day life can be overwhelming, so take some time to enjoy the moment, be thankful for the blessings in your life and smile. If everyone just does one little act to help someone for no special reason, the world would be a much better place.

I have got off track from the topic of my blog today, but will add more business related posts soon!

So to close, I just want to wish everyone a wonderful and joyous holiday season and encourage you to follow your dreams. Happiness is there, all around us, its where we choose to focus that makes all the difference.

The ABC's of PTC's, TE's

Hello! Today I want to talk about one of the things that overwhelmed me when I was just starting out. Have you ever got lost wondering just what all those letters mean? Starting online, you get hit with PTC, PTR, TE, and the list goes on. Its like you stepped into an alternative universe.. With a little time you will get used to all these terms. I still run into acronyms that I have no idea what they mean!

PTC's or Paid to Click programs are where you as a user get paid to view advertisements or emails. These can be paid at a variety of rates. Usually you need to view each advertisement a set amount of time. You can make money on these programs, but it will take a LOT of time if you don't have a big downline of referrals working with you. They are good for building some seed money to fund other type opportunities without using money out of your own pocket. There are some very good programs out there that have been around a long time and pay quickly, however there are many many programs that are scams and after all your effort, don't pay at all. For someone who is trying to build a business with little or no start up capital, this can be a way to get started easily. You will not get rich with this, but you can earn some nice money to help in building your business.

I will be adding a link to some of the programs that I use and have had good results with as well as a list of those that seem to be either scams or a complete waste of time.. Keep in mind all comments here are my opinion only and you can check them out for yourself! There are lots of people out here trying to claim they are experts. There are some great coaches, and others not so reputable, so take any claims with a grain of salt as my grandma would have said. Do your own research when you can, and build a group of people you trust to tell the truth....the good and the bad.

TE's are traffic exchanges...a place where you can advertise your program or site in exchange for viewing the opportunities or sites of others. There are many kinds of traffic exchanges from manual surf , to those with chat where you can get to know other users and exchange ideas as well. I will be talking more about these in a future post.

I hope this has helped a little and welcome any comments.... Together we all grow and learn!

Keeping Organized

Today I'm going to tell you some of the things I have encountered since beginning my online ventures. I have only been doing this a little less than a year and have made many mistakes. When you see the great opportunity that is available out there in the online world, it is so easy to get excited and want to try everything.

When I started, I joined almost every free program I came across and some of them have paid a little from time to time. The problem with this is that is so easy to get so many programs that you can work none of them well. Good programs can lay dormant because you simply forget them or just have too many distractions from life to work them efficiently.

My first suggestion is to start a new list right now with all the programs as you join them, including any referral links, etc... Later as you start to grow your income with MSI (multiple streams of income), you will be very glad you kept track of this. It will save you a lot of time retracing your steps.

Also from the first, create a spreadsheet or database tracking the people who have signed up to your website/blog/downline. These people are interested in what you have and will be the people you work with as you build other opportunities as well. Remember do not spam people, the key is building relationships with people and helping them to get what they want. People like to help others that they like and trust. Be honest in your dealings with others and you will find people will notice and like dealing with you.

So you are probably asking...what kinds of opportunity, how do you make money? There are so many answers to this question. None of them will make you rich overnight and they all require time and effort to see real results. But if you are determined and consistant with your work, you will start to see results.

I have used PTC, PTR, TE's and recently joined a few business opportunities. They all have their positive and negative points. I will talk about these and some differences in my next post as well as be listing those sites that have paid for me. Til next time....

Welcome to my very first Blog!

Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by my blog today. I'm Carla and this is my first blog and I am happy you are here to share the experience with me. For awhile I have been playing with the idea of starting a blog to show my journey to find a better way to live.

Right now lots of people out there are struggling with financial or other hardships due to lack of time or financial resources. My goal is to free myself from the day to day pressures of working for someone else to developing my own vision of life and freedom. I know lots of you out there share the same dream of attaining that freedom to do the things you enjoy and time and money to enjoy life. I want to share the things I am learning along the way to make your journey faster and maybe avoid the mistakes I may make!
And the journey begins........ The first thing I have learned is how important it is to treat your online ventures as a business, not just a hobby. Keep records and track of programs you join as you get started or it will quickly get out of control. There are so many programs and business opportunities out there , many of them scams, many of them very good programs. The challenge is how to avoid the scams and find the genuine opportunities.
